The fourth edition of the competition for the best diploma theses by graduates of higher education in agriculture and natural sciences has ended. The final ceremony brought together academics, students and invited guests, culminating in the awarding of prizes to the authors of the best-reviewed papers.

For years, the competition has been an important initiative to support the development of young scientists and to promote innovative approaches to issues related to agriculture and life sciences. The aim of the event is not only to recognise the best graduate work, but also to disseminate research results that can have a real impact on the development of the agri-food sector and environmental protection.

In this year's edition, the highest laurels in the category of master's theses were won by Kacper Staśkiewicz from Bialystok University of Technology. A distinction was also made for authors of engineering works whose designs were characterised by a high level of substance and practical application.

She also took part in the event International Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża, whose representatives actively participated in the initiative, stressing the importance of supporting young talents and developing the scientific potential of agricultural and nature students.

The competition chapter paid particular attention to the innovation of the topics, the scientific value and the possibility of implementing the research results in economic practice. The growing level of graduate work and the involvement of young researchers in the development of modern agriculture were also highlighted.

The organisation of the competition and its subsequent editions confirm the importance of cooperation between universities, academic institutions and the business sector. Such initiatives are an important element in building knowledge capital and in supporting the development of the competencies of future specialists in agricultural and life sciences.

We congratulate all the winners and participants of the competition, wishing them further scientific and professional success.

Results of the fourth competition of the Podlaskie Branch of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering for the best graduate theses on topics related to agriculture, with particular attention to engineering problems, mechanical engineering and the environment and food safety.
