Recognition of mobility

Rules for recognising learning outcomes and achievements obtained during Erasmus+ mobility.

Recognition of a study period abroad

The basis for academic recognition of student mobility is the Learning Agreement agreed before departure by the student, MANS and the receiving institution.

The document defines the programme to be completed abroad and specifies how successfully completed educational components will be recognised within the student’s programme at MANS.

Changes during mobility

If changes to the study or traineeship programme become necessary during the mobility period, they should be agreed and approved by the relevant parties in accordance with the Learning Agreement procedure.

Documents after mobility

After a study period, the receiving institution provides a record of achievements, in particular the Transcript of Records, showing the educational components completed, grades obtained and credits awarded.

The participant also submits any other documents required under the relevant project, grant agreement and MANS procedures.

Recognition of achievements

Educational components successfully completed during mobility and covered by the approved Learning Agreement are recognised by the sending institution in accordance with Erasmus+ rules.

Recognised achievements are counted towards the participant’s study programme according to the agreed recognition arrangements. Information about the mobility may also be included in academic records and the Diploma Supplement in accordance with the applicable rules.

ECTS and workload

Within the European Higher Education Area, a full academic year normally corresponds to 60 ECTS credits. For mobility periods shorter than a full academic year, the educational components included in the Learning Agreement should reflect a proportionate workload.

Historical fixed thresholds of 20 or 30 ECTS for every mobility period are therefore not used on this page. The number of credits depends on the duration of the mobility, the study programme and the approved Learning Agreement.

Traineeships

For traineeship mobility, recognition is defined in the Learning Agreement for Traineeships. Recognition follows the arrangements agreed before the mobility and the participant’s study programme.

Questions about mobility recognition

If you have questions about the Learning Agreement, ECTS credits, post-mobility documents or recognition arrangements, please contact the Erasmus+ Office before making changes to your mobility programme.
