On 17 and 18 September 2026, MANS hosted the European Final Conference of the TerraCert project. The international event summarised cooperation on the development of competence and micro-skills in the field of regenerative agriculture.
The open part of the conference took place on 17 September in a hybrid format. The meeting was attended by representatives of the partner institutions, experts, teachers, representatives of the agricultural sector and those interested in modern solutions in education and regenerative agriculture. Participants could join the event either in person at MANS headquarters or online.
Presentation of TerraCert project results
The main results of the international TerraCert consortium were presented at the conference. Among other things, they discussed:
- the competences needed for the transformation towards regenerative agriculture,
- training pathways and courses developed in the framework of the project,
- TERRA learning model,
- the use of educational games in the education process,
- a system of microconferences confirming specific skills,
- experience and lessons learnt from pilot activities carried out,
- the possibility of further use of project results,
- the development of a European network for cooperation in regenerative agriculture.
The solutions presented are intended to support the flexible acquisition of knowledge and skills, while responding to the needs of today's labour market and the challenges of sustainable agricultural development.
International cooperation between partners
The conference was also a forum for the exchange of experiences between representatives of universities, educational organisations, certification bodies and agencies involved in agriculture and rural development.
The project involved partners from various European countries, including Terra Viva Ibiza, the Universitat de les Illes Balears, INAGEA, UPA, CIOFS-FP Piemonte, Bio-Farmers, Katranitsa, Ecomuseo della Pietra da Cantoni, EFCoCert and MANS.
The event was also accompanied by a working meeting of the partners of the project – Transnational Project Meeting, held on September 17 at MANS. This was an opportunity to sum up existing cooperation, discuss the results achieved and identify further actions related to the dissemination and exploitation of project effects.
TerraCert – knowledge and competence for agriculture of the future
The TerraCert European Final Conference presented the results of international cooperation and discussed the future of education in the agricultural sector. Particular attention was paid to the practical use of micro-skills and modern educational tools in developing the competencies needed in regenerative agriculture.
We would like to thank all the speakers, project partners and permanent and online participants for their participation, presentations, exchange of experiences and joint summary of the TerraCert project.
