Do you want to learn more about regenerative agriculture and how it can benefit the environment, the economy and society? If so, it is worth checking out TERRA, a European initiative to develop an innovative and accessible training programme for VET learners and professionals.
TERRA is an acronym for Towards an open badge system as training Enablers to Reach Regenerative Agriculture. The project is funded by Erasmus+ and involves 10 partners from 6 countries: Spain, Italy, Poland, Greece, France and Belgium. The main objectives of the project are:
Design and implement an open-label microcredit scheme that recognises and validates the skills and competences acquired by trainees in regenerative agriculture. Establishment of 24 short-term training modules covering topics such as soil health, water management, biodiversity, agriculture, permaculture and social entrepreneurship. Testing and approval of the training programme in four pilot centres in Spain, Italy, Poland and Greece, involving VET centres, farmers and other stakeholders. Establish a network of cooperation with VET associations and other relevant actors to promote the uptake and dissemination of the microcredit scheme and training programme. The TERRA project started in January 2023 and will run for 36 months. During this time, the project will produce a series of outputs and results which will be available on the project website and social media channels. You can also subscribe to the project newsletter to receive regular updates and invitations to project-related events.
