Seeking innovative farms for the Horizon Europe Crop-MATCHING project

Crop-MATCHING: Building knowledge networks for sustainable and resilient small-scale farming in Europe

Polish Farm Advisory implements the project Crop-Matching, financed by the programme Horizon Europe. . . The project aims to identify, analyse and promote good practices in support of sustainable agriculture and the resilience of farms to climate change challenges.

In the context of our activities, we are looking for farms that could become examples of inspiring solutions put into practice. We are particularly interested in working with small agricultural holdings (up to about 5 ha)which implement actions related to:

• crop differentiation,
• intercropping crops,
• inter-plants,
• April belts,
• protection and support of pollinators,
• integration of orchards, apicultures and honey plants,
• crop rotation,
• organic farming,
• agroecology,
• enhancing biodiversity,
• other practices that reduce the environmental impact of agricultural production and increase the resilience of farms to climate change.

Interviews with farmers, the preparation of promotional materials and the presentation of selected examples at national and European level are planned in the subsequent phases of the project. Participation in the project is an opportunity to showcase the farm as an example of good practice and a success story promoted by an international network of experts, advisors and farmers.
