It is with deep sadness and grief that we announce the passing of a longtime MANS lecturer, Dr. hab. prof. Stanisław Benedict, a scientist, mentor and educator who devoted decades of his life to working for our academic community.
Professor Stanisław Benedycki was a respected authority in his field, and his contribution to the development of science and education left a lasting impression on the lives of many students and colleagues. He was the creator of many initiatives at the University, organizing scientific conferences in cooperation with several Polish scientific societies, such as the Polish Society for Agriculture (PTŁ), the Polish Agronomic Society (PTA), the Polish Society for Agricultural Engineering (PTIR) and the Polish Economic Society (PTE). Thanks to his involvement, international conferences, student exchanges and joint practical activities in forestry were also held for students of the University of Warmia-Mazursk and the University of Agribusiness in Łomża (now MANS).
His commitment and passion for knowledge transfer have contributed to the intellectual development of countless young people, inspiring them to think for themselves, explore scientific interests and develop skills.
The passing of such a remarkable man is an irreparable loss to the entire academic community. But his legacy will remain with us, and we will cherish his memories with gratitude.
We offer our deepest condolences to our families and loved ones.
