This is the title of a nationwide scientific conference held at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences

The aim of the conference was to exchange experiences of the nursing community related to the past pandemic and to try to give an answer to the direction in which Polish nursing is moving. In addition to the speakers, a special guest was the president of the Chamber of Nurses and Midwives in Warsaw, Zofia Małas, who emphasized the importance and rank of the nursing profession. At the same time, she expressed concern at the lack of nursing staff in Poland in the context of an ageing society that will need specialised care.

The conference was organized by the Chair of Social Sciences and Social Work at the Institute of Social Sciences WSE of the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, the Scientific Circle of Social Work Students of WSE UKSW in co-operation with the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża – Nursery and District Board of Nurses and Obstetricians in Łomż.
The event included an expert debate on issues discussed in the book by Jolanta Łodzińska, holder of a habilitation and university professor, “Polish Nursing at a Crossroads in the Context of the Coronavirus Pandemic: A Sociological Study”, published in 2023 by UKSW Scientific Publishing.
