On 17-19 September 2025 in Puławy, at the historical headquarters of the Institute of Fertilizer Production and Soil Science - State Research Institute, a cyclical Scientific Conference of the Polish Agronomic Society was held. Modern challenges for agriculture – prospects and directions of development. The conference was attended by representatives of our university Dr. habil. Andrzej Borusiewicz Prof. MANS and Dr. Eng. Janusz Lisowski Prof. MANS. The programme of this year's Conference included a plenary session, six thematic referee sessions and a post-choice session. More than 40 lectures on current issues in agronomy and related disciplines were delivered in the conference sessions. A special item of the conference program was a lecture devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Institute for Fertilization and Soil Science, in Puławy. In the second part-session of Dr. Ing. Janusz Lisowski Prof. MANS gave a paper Comparison of selected energy values of fast-growing plants from the MANS experiments in Łódź. . . On the second day of the conference in the afternoon there was a field trip to the family for five generations of the company JMP Flowers, which grows more than 50 varieties of roses under glass on an area of 6 hectares, and above all 600 varieties of orchids on an area of 11 hectares. During the year, the company JMP Flowers produces and sells 5 million orchids, which are a symbol of love and beauty.
