MANS in Łomża launches a KPO project supporting Nursing students
- Announcements
MANS has launched KPO project KPOD.07.05-IP.10-0122/25 to provide non-repayable tuition support to 93 Nursing students during their three-year degree programme.
The International Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża has launched project KPOD.07.05-IP.10-0122/25, “Support under the Development Plan through Non-Repayable Assistance for Students of Nursing, Midwifery and Emergency Medical Care: Second Edition, Academic Years 2023/2024–2025/2026”.
The project is implemented under Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO), Component D, “Efficiency, Accessibility and Quality of the Healthcare System”, Investment D2.1.1, which aims to increase the number of people entering medical degree programmes.
Non-repayable support for 93 students
The project will provide financial support to 93 Nursing students who began full-time first-cycle studies in the winter semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
The funding will cover tuition fees during the first, second and third years of study.
Total project value:
PLN 1,902,747.00
All project expenditure is funded by Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The implementation period runs from 1 October 2023 to 30 June 2026.
Investing in students’ development
The project aims to reduce financial barriers to starting and continuing Nursing studies. Non-repayable support will lower education costs and give students more stable conditions for learning, practical training and preparation for a nursing career.
The project is particularly important for people who combine study with employment or family responsibilities, or who face additional commuting and living costs during their education.
Strengthening the future healthcare workforce
The project matters both to students and to healthcare in Łomża, the Podlaskie region and Poland as a whole. Its main objective is to increase the number of qualified medical professionals by supporting students in a field essential to the operation of healthcare facilities.
Nursing graduates will be able to join hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, hospices and other healthcare providers. Investing in the education of future nurses is therefore a direct investment in the accessibility, safety and quality of healthcare for the region’s residents.
The International Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża continues to develop its medical degree programmes and support students in gaining qualifications needed in today’s labour market.
