The FARM-FORWARD project aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by stakeholders in the agricultural sector, especially farmers, who are increasingly feeling the effects of climate change. The project also aims to strengthen the competences of agricultural trainers to better educate on climate change and resilient agriculture strategies, and to encourage agricultural professionals to seek innovative solutions and implement effective farming practices.
The project will carry out the following activities:
- A needs analysis report that will provide an accurate understanding of farmers' needs for effective training and skills development related to climate change mitigation.
- A guide to climate resilient agriculture that will enrich the knowledge of agricultural educators.
- Educational resources on sustainable agriculture, offering a wide range of knowledge and skills for farmers.
- A series of webinars and expert videos showing examples of climate resilient practices and innovative technologies.
The results of the project will contribute to enhancing the involvement of the farming community in the application of climate resilient practices, enriching the knowledge and skills of the agricultural sector. In the longer term, the project will have an impact on the development of sustainable agriculture and strengthen resilience to climate change.
