'Digital literacy for a safer online environment' (2022-2-BG01-KA122-SCH-000098055) is implemented by The School of Commerce – Burgas in Bulgaria under the Erasmus+ programme. Its aim is to develop the digital competence of teachers and to provide a secure online environment in schools. The project includes the implementation of two courses: "Tackling information in the school environment" and "Digital Competitions and ICT for Teachers". The courses are addressed to 12 Bulgarian teachers who participate in the project in two groups of 6. Classes are held between 18-25 April 2023.
The course "Tackling disinformation in the school environment" aims to prepare teachers to deal with disinformation in the school environment. During the course, participants will learn about strategies for dealing with disinformation, the science of critical thinking and ethical principles regarding the use of the Internet. The 'Digital Competences and ICT for Teachers' course aims to develop the skills of teachers in information and communication technologies (ICT) and to develop their digital competences so that they can make full use of digital tools in teaching.
The project also planned to exchange experiences and good practices with representatives of the Polish education system at secondary and higher education level. This cooperation aims at creating a platform for discussion and sharing of knowledge and experience on issues related to education, technology and cybersecurity.
The project participants had the opportunity to visit the most interesting places in Poland, including MANS. The project participants had the opportunity to meet the academic staff and talk with their students, which was an excellent opportunity for exchanging experiences.
The project "Digital literacy for a safer online environment" is also an opportunity to learn more about Polish culture and customs. As part of the cultural programme, project participants will have the opportunity to visit the most interesting places in Poland and get acquainted with Polish culture and traditions.
The project is financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme. It aims to support educational mobility and the development of digital skills among teachers. Implementation of the project 'Digital literacy for a safer online environment' will contribute to improving the quality of education and raising the level of digital competences.
